35 Students from Qatar Academy joined Regatta Sailing Academy, for the last day of their week without walls programme. The programme aims to get students between the ages of 11 and 15 out of the classroom to learn new skills. Mike Lawton commented – “the weather was perfect for everybody to enjoy a taste of dinghy and yacht sailing.”
The students excelled themselves under the guidance of Regatta Sailing Academy’s RYA qualified instructors. Showing excellent teamwork and leadership skills on the yachts and strong individual skills whilst dinghy sailing. Regatta Sailing Academy is committed to providing a high quality community service programme, which promotes how sailing can help students mental and physical growth while also learning about the environment and social responsibility.
On completion of the sailing experience with Regatta Sailing Academy, the students received a trophy as a reminder of their achievement. They then enjoyed a lunch courtesy of Mr. Andreas Pfister General Manager of the Intercontinental Hotel.
